Shelley is working to turn the tide on this statistic. She believes that someone must challenge the societal stigma that prevents companies from hiring people with criminal records and Shelley has taken up that mantle. Shelley Winner, a Surface Specialist at Microsoft, is very active in the restorative justice movement in San Francisco. She’s also given a TEDx Talk on hiring the formerly incarcerated and was featured in a PBS special called Searching for Justice.
